Hazy Late Summer was painted in the studio, using past plein air and monotypes to guide my design process. The painting has a lot of layers and textures, especially in the foreground. I used a method of applying clear gesso after the application of pastel. I teach this method in my workshops. check out the workshop page to find out where I will be.
