This painting is a counter print of one of my pastel paintings. The counter print process involves laying a damp piece of print paper on the pastel surface and running it through a press. The resulting image is a reverse of the original pastel painting.
I sometimes run another color over the print in this case I used a warm orange color. Once dry the painting is mounted and then pastel applied over.
